A sloping site was ‘tamed’ to create a separate pool area and large terrace designed for family gatherings. The house opens up to an elegant outdoor sitting area defined by low stone walls and plant beds. The terrace accommodates a large dining table, contemporary furniture and an outdoor kitchen complete with a counter and stools. It is a warm and friendly place to enjoy with friends and family.

The upper area is where a full-size swimming pool and separate spa are located. The inground spa is a popular draw and has its own corner away from poolside activity. Dogwood trees and ornamental grasses provide a lush green backdrop that is stunning when viewed from the house.

Additional features include an outdoor shower and a bluestone path through a linear garden leading to a changing room in the house. Evergreen trees help to create a feeling of sanctuary.
